As recent auction results will affirm, LS engined classic Corvettes with sophisticated aftermarket chassis and modern electronics have far outpaced the market value of equivalent restored matching numbers original cars. Duntov has built three generations of vintage Corvette Restomods, and have developed in house our own unique Restomod frame that is the industry standard for stiffness, fit and finish.
Tadge Juechter, Corvette’s Executive Chief Engineer, had this to say about the importance of frame stiffness:
“85 percent of handling is chassis stiffness; everything else – the shocks, springs, sway bars, etc, together adds up to only 15%.”
The Duntov C7 Restomod frame was designed with this in mind, and is by far the stiffest frame of its kind available anywhere.
