Don Fiore 1963 Grand Sport

Perhaps the Duntov-built Grand Sport is the ultimate restomod.  The National Corvette Museum invited Alan to bring two cars to their recent annual convention and he chose Don Fiore’s GS 016 and Rick Mancuso’s Duntov-built Greenwood race car.  The Museum sponsored a book signing during which Alan and Don got to meet some old friends and make some new ones.

GS 016 is powered by one of the last ZL1 aluminum 427 crate engines.  Don is a collector and has proudly shown this car at Corvette meets all around the country, but the invitation to be the featured display at the National Corvette Museum annual convention was certainly one of the car’s greatest tributes.
